The Bible says ... "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the
Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life ..."(I John 5:13). God wants us to
know that we can go to heaven, but there is only one way.
First we must realize that we all are sinners. "for all have sinned and come short of the
glory of God:" (Romans 3:23)
There is a penalty for our sin. "For the wages of sin is death ..." (Romans 6:23a) Death here
is speaking of a spiritual death which is the eternal separation from God in a literal eternal Hell.
It is not God's will for anyone to go to Hell, so He sent His only Son to die on the cross and
pay the penalty for sin. "But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were
yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
God loved us so much that he made a way for our sins to be forgiven. He offers us
forgiveness and salvation freely. "... the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our
Lord." (Romans 6:23b) God's gift is Heaven, purchased by the blood of Christ. But like all
gifts, it is not yours until you receive it.
Here's how you can receive Christ. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
Will you pray, right now, and ask God to save you? We hope you will because God cares for
you and we do too.
